Swan Guest Parking Process?

We've stayed at the Swan many times before and know most of the ins and outs, but we've always flown so we've never had to park before. For our next trip, though, we're driving, so I wanted to make sure I know what the process for parking at the Swan is.

I know that they charge per day for guests and per exit for visitors, and that guests open the gate by using their keycard, but if we arrive let's say at noon and the room isn't ready until after 4, where do we park until we get our key cards? I don't want to have to pay every time we want to exit the parking lot before we get our room keys.

You can check in as soon as you arrive and get your room key. And I’m sure there is a manned gate where someone can check your reservation on the app and let you in.

I took the parking ticket, and then when I checked in they gave me a room key, the prior ticket I got at the gate to let me in then just went into the trash as my room key replaced it. If the room isn't ready then not to worry, you can still technically check in and they will give you a key card for access if you need to come and go.

When we stayed last year, they didn't give us our room keys when we checked in; they told us we had to come back and pick them up after they texted us the room was ready (which didn't happen until after the official check-in time of 4 PM).

So if this is still how they're handling room keys, it would seem like once we park, we'd be stuck there until our room is ready unless we pay to exit the parking lot.

Sorry, I worded that badly. Didn’t they give you a pass that you could use? Otherwise I guess you’d have to pay and get refunded later, which would be a PITA.

We've never driven down, so the only thing they gave us at check in was our park tickets. Are you saying there's a parking lot pass that they will give you to use until you get your room key?
