Swan/Dolphin?

I have a convention in November that will be at the Swan and Dolphin.

Can someone explain to me how the relationship with Disney works? Can I book a package?

We stayed at the Swan on our honeymoon, but back then, it was part of a package with tickets, got a KTTW card, etc. I'm trying to figure out how it works now.

I was thinking I'd just stay at the Boardwalk since it's within walking distance, but it's just too pricey.

The Swan and Dolphin are "partner" hotels, which means they enjoy some of the same resort benefits, like extra magic hours, they do not participate in Magical Express, and you can book it as a package directly through Disney or a travel agent. They really are great, and are a good value for the money, especially if you need to be there for a convention anyway!

You also cannot get a dining plan at the Swan or Dolphin hotels, FYI.

You can book a package with room and tickets but you can not get the DDP. DME is not available and there is a parking fee for the resort. I also believe that room charging is not available but I am not 100% on that.

Ok, that sounds good. I'm not too worried about DME, and the DDP wouldn't be worth it, considering that I won't have a lot of extra time.
