So, once Star Wars Galaxies Edge opens in 2019. What will become of the launch bay? Will it stay or will it become something else preferably for something along the lines of what it was originally intended to be something for animation since it was known as the animation Courtyard.

No
Maybe one of the insiders knows more, but it seems doubtful that it would remain the Star Wars Launch Bay, but it also seems doubtful that it would return to the old animation theme when the park is shifting away from the movie making theme. Just my opinion.

I would have really liked it if they at least added a better centralized hub with the similarity to how DCA has it...But, while it would have interactive things once again...This could very well be a better location for many Characters to have their M&G's instead of where they are now further down the road and could be spread out through the complex Similiar to how they have it at Pete's Silly Sideshow..Or how Toontown Fair use to have it's M&G's....And while it would have Mickey & Minnie it would have an area where you could meet a completly random character throughout the day or week...

probably cleared for new attractions.
Hopefully this. It's a joke as it is right now, but they need the extra capacity at that park...but as soon as Galaxy's Edge opens they need to tear the whole thing down and get started on a new land in the area with more rides and attractions to disperse crowds.

Our insiders have only hinted at possible additions to DHS other than the ones already announced. Nothing near greenlit. Nothing big that is currently on the table. Just a possible ride here or a new theater there.

So, the answer to the OP is: at this point, it seems even Disney doesn't know what's going to happen to Launch Bay after SWGEB opens.

As much as the park needs more attractions down the road, they will need all hands on deck right now, so to speak, in terms of absorbing crowds. Closing anything just as the new lands open would be a huge mistake.

Except that Launch Bay is not bringing anyone in. I've been to Studios numerous times while it was busy and only saw dozens of people in there. The majority of guests were only in lines for the meet and greets. Taking this out won't hurt them much at all.

If that was the case the entire Animation Courtyard with VoTLM & Disney Junior Live would also have to be removed...The Animation building alone is the biggest structure in that area..Not even the section where you use to see the animators is being used (unless for storage?) Who knows what could be done with it...(Shown at the bottom of this picture)
