im here right now and they won't let me get to my car to leave. I asked a police officer and he told me there was a medical emergency but on the news it's reporting some kind of "suspicious package". Does this mean there could be a bomb threat??

I heard the security dogs sniffed it out of the trash and went crazy over it. I guess they thought it was serious and I'm glad they treated it this way

The problem with treating suspicious and serious items seriously is that often times the result is amassing a large crowd of people together.

At first, only the parking lot was closed off and the crowd was centralized at the area right before you pass through the metal detectors. I bet the police realized the issue and pushed everyone back into city walk (where everyone had been deemed safe by the scanners)
