Sushi Dinner

I will be at the world Sept 19-22. I would like to have sushi for dinner one night as I will be there solo. I am on the DDP. Should I use to TS and go to California Grill or go to Wolfgang Pucks? I will be touring SSR as we have just bought in and I have not seen the resort from the inside.

I haven't eaten at either of those places, but my two cents is definitely do not consider the restaurant in Japan of the Epcot World Showcase. It was disappointingly mediocre when I tried it, with surprisingly few options beyond the basic Cali rolls, etc. My guess is Puck's might have the best selection, but I really don't know.

Surprisingly, the sushi at California Grill was straighforwardly Japanese. I guess I was expecting more experimentation and "California-ization." Having said that, this is top notch sushi, the fish is fresh and melts in your mouth, & I would definitely recommend it.

I've not tried the sushi at Wolfgang Pucks, but I've never really enjoyed any of my dishes much at that restaurant chain. If you really want to try Chef Puck at his best, try Spago's in L.A. (but VERY pricey).

I tried Kimonos and definitely thought it was good, but I've had what I felt was better sushi elsewhere for cheaper.

Never tried anything from the Japan Pavilion in Epcot, but I've read mainly mixed reviews of the offerings.

I think there might be a Japanese restaurant at one of the "official" WDW hotels.
