The only one I recall hearing about was doubling of all prizes for All Stars other than the winner amount.

I wouldn't be surprised for something similar for WaW. I think I read they were guaranteed a fee for the reunion. Don't know how that differs. EoE also meant all players would get paid a certain amount for appearing in each episode.
If they do offer appearance fees, it's probably written in the contract that they can't disclose that information to anybody. I wouldn't be surprised if they paid somebody like Yul to come back for WaW. He seemed to have no interest at all. And I wouldn't be surprised with someone like Parvati, either.

I'm not sure about Australian Survivor, but US Survivor has a good problem... they have an abundance of people who are dying to return. They'll never have a problem finding enough people, so appearance fees don't make a ton of sense from a business perspective.

Boston Rob just shared on FB why he is not on season 50. He was asked, but turned it down. He is "truly fulfilled with my Survivor journey".

I agree with those who say, who do we really want back from the 20s? Andrea for me would be a lock, but outside of that, not much. Most of the names are winners from WaW. Spencer? Pass. Kass? Maybe. Kelley Wentworth, yes. Malcolm, yes. There are some other names, but they're not 50 material. Like Josh or Reed. The dark ages took place in the 20s, and it shows in the lack of viable returnee options.

But a fan vote would have been a lot of fun. I'm surprised they haven't gone back to it after the success of Second Chances.
For me - i could find some people i'd like to see again from the 20s-30s:
**And yes, i did use Wiki to remind me of the cast's ha!

Chase Rice or Fabio from Nicaragua,
Matt Elrod from Redemption Island,
Jim Rice from South Pacific,
Chelsea Meissner from One World,
Reynold Toepfer - Caramoan
Hayden Moss - BvW
Tasha for her 3rd time, or LJ - Cagayan
Jaclyn or Jon - BvW2
Mike Holloway, Jenn Brown - Worlds Apart
Tai - 3rd Time, Cydney - Kaoh Rong
Ken, Bret, Jay, - MvGx
Chrissy!, Devon - HvHvH
Domenick, Laurel - GI
Davie, Kara, Christian - DvG
Underwood, Gavin, Devens, Lauren, Victoria, Reem - EoE
Tommy, Dean, Janet, Elaine, Aaron, Jamal - IoI

25 years ago today, Survivor Borneo premiered, changing TV history and the lives of millions of people. I didn't start watching until Caramoan in 2013, but I can't imagine how much different my life would be without Survivor. I've spent countless hours watching the show, listening to podcasts, and discussing the episodes with people. I've even made a couple friends based solely on our love of the show. I've met three former castaways, and have three winner's autographs, with another coming later this summer. Needless to say, a TV show changed my life at the age of 4, when I didn't even know it. Happy 25th Anniversary, Survivor!

Courtney Yates revealed on a Cameo that she was asked about 50 last summer, but was ultimately cut. She didn't say when she was cut, but did say she wasn't expecting to be picked anyway. She had no hard feelings and said she feels the show has evolved past what she brings, but thought if they really wanted her, she'd want to be a part of it.

Joined in the middle/end of Season 1 and watched live through season 8 probably? After college I came back to Survivor and binged 4 seasons that were on Prime (Nicaragua, One World, Redemption Island, the one Sophie won?); i was HOOKED. I then watched all the ones I missed & caught up live with BvW1. Blood vs Water still remains a favorite of mine for many reasons, but I think being back to watching live/weekly at that point has a big reason too.

Rob Cesternino said in a recent podcast that he was contacted last August about 50. He said he didn't have much contact with production, but he said he felt like he fumbled one of his interviews. He said he isn't dying to go back, but he would play again if they asked him to. He said he felt like they didn't pick him because of that, that they want people who really want it. He said he had been preparing, but he didn't really know if he was realistically going on. But he said his biggest regret was not selling himself enough in that interview.

I laughed when he said he had been working on his grip strength!
