Surprising the kids ? Ideas??

So we have been to disney more times then we can count and never have done the surprise reveal to our kids. somehow have managed to make it possible to squeeze in a surprise trip for our kids after Christmas this year.

We are trying to find a cute or clever way to tell them. They are 14 9and 4.

We were gonna have them open a present on Christmas with something in it telling them. It we were gonna tell them we are going somewhere different. But they will know at leader aday in advance aswepick up the rental car on 12/26 and leave the27th any ideas???

Will they be with you when you get the car? If not, after pick up, you can fill up the back seat with helium inflated mouse ear balloons. I bought ones like the one pictured below (they are big) for a box surprise, but it might be fun to call the kids outside...i.e. "hey kids, come check out what's in the driveway." And then the rental would be there filled with Mickey balloons.

I think I priced them on both ebay and Amazon, but I can't remember which wound up being cheaper. There are a number of people on both sites that sell them.

The ones above are the larger ones (15"), but if you want the smaller ones (12") - you can get those as well...

The smaller ones really aren't that much smaller + they're a better deal. The bigger ones are $5.75 for just two balloons while the smaller ones are $11.99 for 12 balloons.

We surprised my nieces one year. We all got together and I told them I wanted to show the a video I had made of our previous trip. But the video I was really showing them was a video to tell them we are going to WDW.
Next year we are surprising them again. We are going to have a dinner and hoping the MB will be out of test and in full swing. I will have a gift box for each of the children that are going and the MD will be in the

We have those balloons at our grocery store Publix you can also find them at most party stores. You could even try Walmart.
