Surprising my 4-year-old with a one night trip for MNSS!

We are OVER-PLANNERS, and generally save up for long trips to WDW and/or Disneyland, alternating, every 18 months or so. So, for me to plan a 36 hour trip down to WDW, with no Park Tickets, only our MNSS tickets, is quite the leap for me.

Maybe it's been seeing all those videos with kids being surprised with a Disney trip, maybe it's seeing the Boo to You Parade or Hallowishes too many times on Youtube, or maybe it was our $175 worth of United Airlines Travel Vouchers expiring on 12/31...........

Anyway, I welcome all tips for those who have been to a MNSS with a little one, especially those parents who have done it solo (the wife and the baby not coming with us).

Also, we will be staying for one night, and was thinking of the Little Mermaid wing in Art of Animation, thoughts?

Sounds like fun! I've never been to the Halloween party, but I am hoping to in September. That will be my first time staying at AoA, too! All the reviews I've been reading say it is a really nie resort.

I've often thought about just hopping a plane to WDW for a weekend - maybe someday.

My dear wife once packed our son off to his grandmothers for a week and surprised me with a long weekend in WDW, it was our first trip just the two of us since our honeymoon. It was very nice.
