Surprise Disney Trip

My beautiful wife surprised me with a weekend Disney trip over Memorial Day!

So excited, I just had to share.

We normally go a few times per year, but this was so unexpected!

Anything to expect or watch out for during this time? I'm anticipating some crowds, but not full blown summer crowds. I'm missing the 24 hr event, which I think might be a positive. MK is open until 3am the Sunday before Memorial Day. Seven Dwarfs will be a no go, correct?

Seven Dwarfs is opening on May 28th... there are rumors floating around about possible soft openings by then, but nothing beyond rumors.

Have fun! :)

There will be some soft opening of Mine Train, but no set times, hopefully you'll catch it! You could always try the Epcot After Hours Wind Down for something new!

We are planning a day at MK and another at Epcot. For just 2 days, we don't want to park hop anyway as to maximize our time.

Our goal is to fully complete MK and Epcot in the 2 full days we are there.

I will report back but I've heard rumors from a friend in the area we might get to try the mine train. I do have a friend in the parks.

Other than that, we are staying at the Dolphin due to its good location and our short timeframe.

We returned from a great trip! Low crowds, almost no waiting, great (although warm) weather, and got to ride Seven Dwarfs Mine Train!

Great experience and the ride delivered, just as I knew it would. It's no Everest, but it's a great coaster for kids with incredible animatronics.

We had a great time and did everything in Epcot and Magic Kingdom, easily.

Thanks for the update! I was wondering how your trip went :) It's my turn next weekend! I'm so excited! I'll be thinking of you as I keep in mind all the tips you gave me a few weeks ago ;)
