Superstar Limo to Re-open

According to the helpful folks over at Mouseinfo, SuperStar Limo will reopen in Mid May! I say that is great news!

Whether you like the attraction or not, its great that the building just won't be sitting there empty.

From what I've heard in the parks, it is true!! I posted it awhile back I think.... or maybe it was on another board... in any case, when I was at DCA back in January, waiting in line for Millionaire, a CM announced it over the loudspeakers during the pre-show trivia. The question was "When does the Tower of Terror open?" And after confirming that a guest gave the correct answer, he said (again over the loudspeaker) "Also, a week after that will be the re-opening of Superstar Limo."... which was met by a mix of cheers and boos. :lol:

Its DCA's first and only dark ride. Its a campy/cheesy ride through Hollywood. You are the latest star and you have arrived at the airport, and you have to go on a crazy ride through LA to get to your movie premier. ALong the way you run into several audio-animatronic "stars."

I always liked it because of the campiness....others hate it though. Just depends on your tastes!

The official DL website no longer has it on the refurbishment list after May 18th. I wonder why they are waiting two weeks after ToT opens, it would seem right to open Superstar Limo when Tower opens to help out with crowds. Man, DCA is going to be crazy on Tower's opening day.

That is strange, but at least its opening up soon.

I can't wait to ride TOT either...although, I will have to wait until November of '04

I agree... that building might as well be in use, whatever people think of the ride! I can only hope they've at least changed *something* in the last 2+ years to improve it...

I have a friend that works at DCA and he says the internal information is that SSL will re-open on 5/19/04. Of course that is subject to change, but that is the 'official' word at this time.

I have erceived no indication that SSL has gone under any rehab - other then probably having to remove lots of dust and cobwebs.

Oh, I got it, make it the Haunted Superstar Limo ride.
