Super soaps weekend

OK I am confused.

This site says that the super soaps weekend is on the 13 and 14 of November (weekend of my birthday and my trip)

My girlfriend checked the ABC site and they say it is the weekend before!

I am not a huge soap fan or anything and I was looking to avoid the big crowds and I figure thisis gonna bring in a lot of people. Anybody know when it is happening for sure.

If it is really happening 13 and 14 then any hints on when to hit MGM(I hear that is where the events take place) Should I go that friday?

Please help.

I can't help you with the schedule. I was at MGM during the first weekend of November 2003(we actually went to WDW for the F&W Festival). I had never heard of Super Soaps weekend. It was a disaster. The park was filled beyond capacity (it seemed)with crazed autograph hounds. They made getting autographs a fast pass event. You could barely take 2 steps without walking into somebody. Somewhere around the middle of the day as we were hopping to another park to get away from Super Soaps, the autograph seekers were told that no more fast passes would be distributed as so many had already been given out, the park just wouldn't be opened late enough to accomodate all who wanted a photo and autograph from a 'Soap Star'. Unless you're some kind of Soap opera fan, I'd avoid it. Now I'm certain to check the schedule of ALL events before planning a trip. A valuable lesson! :zipit:

I loved Super Soap weekend when we went. My hubby planned a surprise visit for me just for that. Granted, the park was FULL. We waited in lines that were hours long for autographs and the ride lines were just as long. The park was near capacity if not full to capacity during the entire weekend. This was years ago though, in fact it was one of the very first ones I do believe.

by the way...I didn't have the heart to tell my hubby I didn't sit around the house all day watching soaps, but the weekend without the boys was great.
