I will be in WDW in late October and having seen the Super Hero store in photos on the news section of this website, I was wondering if anyone has been in it. Any Info on whats available to buy and your views of the shop would be most grateful thanks

I have been there a few days ago. They have quite some merchandise here. From cups to figurines to costumes. You can also make pictures in front of a green screen where your face is put on a character or you can stand next to them. Its quite alright, but if I were Disney I would have made a bigger store. Its quite busy and the shop isnt big at all. At the World of Disney Store are also things based on Marvel and the superheroes, but of course all the stuff together is at the headquarters now.

Thanks for that. I noticed in the pictures they sold t shirts, do you know if they stock "larger" adult sizes in them?

They do have a lot of Marvel stuff. About 85%-90% of it can be found elsewhere, it's just very hard to.

It is a VERY small store, with a lot of traffic. They carry a pretty wide range of things: kids and adult shirts, toys, art prints, trade paperbacks, books, art books, figures, pins, and collectables.

It needs to be larger but it's a good start. I was in and it was crowded and uncomfortable to shop, my head was spinning.

It just dawned on me that the lack of size and near-complete lack of themeing could very well be a symptom of the licensing agreement with Universal. The store's "SHEILD" theme probably rides the line as it is.

Thanks again for all your comments.
One other thing, is there any Xmen or Fantastic Four merch in the shop? I was wondering this because I seem to recall there was a dispute with the licencing for these characters?

There's a reason it's called "Super Hero Headquarters" and there is no use of the Marvel name or the red rectangle logo in any of the signage or decor.

Disney is cutting it so close they are practically splitting atoms.

^Yeah, it is called Super Hero Headquarters... Disney might as well market all of ther superheros, haha. Big Hero 6 espicially. I thought it was way underrated, and the only reason we don't see much of it around is because of a-erm- 'certain' pair of sisters overstaying their welcome in the parks.

Actually the BH6 m&G stopped without being replaced by anyone from Frozen, so I don't think that's true.
Maybe if BH6 had been more of a ACTUAL superhero movie, instead of a sappy tear-jerking "boy and his dog" story with a thin veneer of "superheros" it would fit better and people would have cared more.
