Super crowds expected?

We have a ressie for Dec 4-8, got a Bounceback offer and staying at AKL. Went on the main WDW site today to look at other resorts available and the only availability at any category, value, mod, or deluxe was a $2100/nt suite at AKL! This was the only room available at rack rate. We have been down there at this same time the last two years and found it to be reasonable crowds, and yes, it was always Pop Warner time, parade time, etc. Will this translate into bigger crowds this year, as it seems?

Check the other threads on this subject. Most of the responses say that although the hotels tend to be full (Pop Warner and Mousefest) this does not really translate into crowds in the parks.

Still low season, just Disney doing a good job at getting people to stay on site. You might find that off-site hotels have plenty of availability.

We visited early last December. The hotels were indeed very busy, but the parks not so much. It was pretty busy at MGM, but we did not find it to be too bad anywhere else.

Hello. I did a bunch of research before booking my trip this year and according to every outlet I can find , the week Following Thanksgiving is Historically the slowest week . I used 3 or 4 different books the internet and a travel agent and they All gave me the same information.

Okay I just called to a Disney reservations and the Girl (who was actually nit so nice) said that the first 2 weeks of december are very slow times for Disney. She said that Most times the weekends are a little busier so that may be why you are having issues booking over a 7 day period. I check disney.com and you can book a room at most resorts Monday thru Friday but once you try adding a Weekend it gets a little harder.

Also did a Google search "Slowest time at disney world"
The answers were all the same - Entire month of september first two weeks of December.

Hope this helps.
