Sunday August crowds?

Has any one been lately on a Sunday?

My brother is in town and wants to go with just me (not my husband LOL), but of course, he's worried about crowds. I can't get time off of work right now, so Sunday may have to do. How are the Sunday crowds right now?

Disneyland attendence has been really down this summer. In fact, according to www.miceage.com, they had a Saturday with less than 40,000 people this June, and that was apparently the lowest Saturday attendence for any time of year they've had for decades. Explanations include no heavy SoCal discounts this summer like the last 3, Mummy at Universal and Atlantis at Sea World, and a lot of prep work for the 50th next year; the castle is completely shrouded right now.

I've been on an August Sunday in the past, and if you get there for opening, and make judicious use of FastPass , you should have a full day. Note that Roger Rabbit, Star Tours and Grizzly River Run are not connected to the other FP distribution machines, so having FPs for these attractions will not affect your ability to get other FPs, and they do not care if you use the FP after the end of the one hour window. The west side is really crowded since there's not much in Tomorrowland to keep people there, and as you probably know, there's no Space or (at this writing) Big Thunder Mtns.

Cheers

My sister was at DCA last sunday and told me there were a lot of people (I have no idea how DL's crowds were.) The average wait time was 30- 60 minutes. That was last sunday, who knows how it will be when you go because schools will be starting very soon if not are in session already.
