Heading to the world for the day this saturday, was wondering if sum of all thrills is worth it? Never rode it before, so I know very little about it, is there usually a long wait for this? any info would be greatly appreciated.

This past January I think we waited about 30 minutes for it. I would have to say that the experience is neat, getting to build your own rollercoaster and sitting in that little pod thing on those movable arms but I don't think it was really worth the wait. It seriously felt like it lasted about 10 seconds. I just was not very impressed at all with the actual ride part. I think we would probably do it again if there was ZERO wait time but I will be perfectly happy if I never ride it again. Just my opinion

And yes, I do believe there is usually quite a wait for it and when we were there it was broken down a lot.

Absolutely not. I would say its not even worth any more than a 15 minute wait.

First off, its supposed to be about learning the physics of roller coasters. But the design process is so quick and limited and constricting that no one will learn anything. You probably learn more about coaster design from playing Rollercoaster Tycoon. You also don't really make a custom design. Instead you just pick from a small selection of prefabricated track elements, just like CyberSpace Mountain.

Second, the ride experience is pretty awful. Those arms are capable of doing some pretty wicked movements, but even though I tried to make the most "intense" coaster possible, I still felt like I was on "easy" setting. The ride itself is only about 30 seconds, you only get to pick about 4-5 track elements, the graphics are only marginally better than CyberSpace Mountain which is over 10 years old, and the arms won't even do a full 360 degree flip due to the screen.

So yeah. Skip it

I think it's worth it! It's fun, the line progresses relatively quickly and although short, the final ride is a great experience.

Any time I've been there the line wasn't terribly long. There isn't really much of a queue area, when it's full, you only have about a twenty to thirty minute wait. I don't think I've ever seen it full and never overflowing out into the walkway in Innoventions. [Not saying it doesn't happen, I've just never seen it]

It's interesting to do once, and if you are inclined to give it a shot I would go first thing in the morning. I have only been on the attraction when the wait was 10 minutes or less...and I would want to wait any longer than that.

It is not worth the wait to do on a regular basis but I would say that it is worth the wait to do it at least once.

I hit it up maybe 9:30ish one morning. I had no wait, walked right in. They were so bored they let me ride a second time with a CM designed track that they claimed had the highest score possible. Of course, once that finished, the ride proceeded to break down when returning to the unload position so I got to chill for 5-10 minutes while maintenance showed up to let me out. Wasn't a bad thing, but the music got kinda boring on repeat. The ride itself was pretty fun, I was laughing and clapping the whole time. Not the most thrilling thing I have ever been on, but pretty gosh darn solid, especially for Disney. I wouldn't have an issue with waiting 30 minutes at all. But then again I have waited 3 hrs for a 30 second coaster ride before so take that into account.

It's interesting to design and the ride part is OK, but I'd say it's not worth waiting more than about 20 minutes for. In addition to a coaster, you can alternatively design a toboggan (less wild) or a jet plane (more wild ride).
