Suggestions for our 2nd Trip?

This past June, my wife and I turned one of my business trips into our first ever trip to Disneyland. We only had about 2 days in the parks. We love the history of DLR and we both love Walt Disney's story so it was amazing. So my wife and I want to make a 2nd trip. We're teachers so we're sorta limited to what time period we can go but when would you recommend?

Month? Year? I'm about 4 hours from WDW so waiting for Star Wars Land at DLR isn't that important since WDW will get it but if there are other things opening up at DLR in the mean time, I'd like to wait for those.

Also, how many days would you suggest for DLR and DCA?

I've heard people completing most of DLR in 2 or 3 days, but 4 days for us in July allowed us to get most of the experiences done.

Well, I'd try to visit soon, as the Diamond Celebration entertainment is still going on strong and you should try to see it before the celebration ends (most likely the end of next summer, but nothing's official).

There's really nothing substantial opening at DL until the new, unannounced Marvel Land at DCA which shouldn't be here for several years.

Thanks! Yeah we really enjoyed the 60th stuff in June. I believe everything was open but Peter Pan. On a tangent, how is Peter Pan after the refurb?

Hopefully we can go in the summer!

It's great, but nothing really to make a trip for. The refurbished nursery is spectacular along with a few of the other upgrades (the London scene was improved dramatically).

I'm a teacher too so I have to go during the school breaks or carefully plan around the two personal days we have. And personally I think any time is a great time to go to a Disney park, so go when you can and make the best of it. I think a minimum of 4 days would work for DL and DCA (2 days for each), it depends on how commando or laid back you are.

How about winter or spring break? You wouldn't have to take off from work. If you go for Christmas, I'd recommend going either before December 22-Jan 1, or going after that. Spring break is probably your best bet, though.

For both parks, I'd probably do four to five days. Three is okay, but the chances of you seeing everything are slim. You said you've been before...do you care about seeing everything? If not, I'd set aside three to four days.

What Raven said. I'd do 4 days min which gives you a good 2 days in each park.

If you are going to take off work, after the first of the year is usually good if you work around any holidays like president's or MLK and then again after labor day. All that being said, the parks are pretty busy year round especially with the 60th.
