Suggestions Anyone???

I'm hoping someone will be able to help me...

Hubby and I are going to Disney in October. :sohappy: We tend to go at least every 2 years, if not every 1 year so we are pretty much set on what we like to do and how we want to spend our time.

This year we are going with his parents, because they have always wanted to go but are too afraid to do it on their own. :brick: Basically, they are expecting us to play tour guide all week, and hold their hands as they go from one place to the next.

This is all good and fine - except our 2nd full day is our wedding anniversary and I want us to spend the day alone - without them. :animwink: Finally, got hubby to agree but not sure how to tell his parents or what to suggest they do in the meantime.

We are staying on site at the Villas at Wilderness Lodge.

Does anyone have any suggestions on something that they can do to occupy themselves for the day that won't be too overwhelming? :veryconfu: They are already stressed out over the bus transportation, so it would have to be something that is a direct connect from WL.

Any suggestions you can make would be appreciated!!

I'd say the best bet is to send them on their way to Epcot. Also they can do Downtown Disney and hang out there, then come back to FW and hang by the pool or something like that. Not much that is direct connect from WL, only parks and shopping.

Meega, nala kwishta!
Set them up on one of the tours available.

If you want them to spend all day on one, put them on the Backstage Magic. It's 7 hours and takes them to 3 parks.

Or have them do one of the 3 at Epcot (1 in future world, 2 in WS). These are about 3-3 1/2 hours. They will occupy them up until 1 PM or so, then schedule a PS for lunch for them at Epcot somewhere. This should eat up there day to about 3pm or so, then they can decide what they want to do the rest of the night.

The tours are fun and the 3 at Epcot are not too expensive. And what's better than handing them over to Disneys own tour guides!

What about letting them sleep in.....and hang around the resort...make lunch and dinner reservations...and have it be like a wedding aniversery for them too.....

or even....

what about letting them tour the monorail resorts??? lunch at the GF....or shoppoing at Contemp....

I definately like the tour ideas....that way peole are watching them.....just in case.....but there still busy...and interested...with there own tour guides....

But DTD could keep them plenty busy...theres a movie theater....shops restaurants and what not...

hope this helps....

Im sure if you called ahead and contacted someone who could help they have plans set up for this sort of thing. Not like a person with disability thing but people who can help them experience a side of Disney that most others wouldnt see. It also depends somewhat on their age I would imagine. My parents already want to take the grandkids to Disney....no parents allowed but I know they would be howling for us in no time....my parents that is not the kids:lol: I am sure a day by the pool and lunch at WL would be a nice relaxing day for them after the flight or drive and they wont get into too much trouble.
