Stunt show changes?

Hey all,

I visited WDW in December and noticed that the building scenes from Indiana Jones Live and Lights! Motor! Action! had been removed. Does anyone know the cause of this? Along with it at our show for LMA numerous things seemed completely off. The announcer explained that the "good" guy in the red car couldn't come out only for him to awkwardly arrive sometime later and numerous stunts weren't even attempted. Were there safety or technical issues? Thanks!

For the "red car" situation, yes, it was likely a malfunction, technical issue, or safety issue that was resolved awkwardly. Maybe the driver had a potty emergency and couldn't come out for his first cue.

As for the sets......I haven't heard anything. I know there have been accidents at both shows, but I never heard or read about any portions of the sets being removed.

How was the weather that day?

Along these lines, wet weather is often the culprit for reducing a show's action though it can also be an issue with the set. I've seen the Indy show where they didn't do any of the building work because it had rained and the set was wet. I saw one where they did most of the building work but then stopped at the ladder segment.

If the weather was clear, I'd say it was probably a mechanical issue with the set, perhaps the lift they take at the start of the rooftop segment. If that isn't working it's difficult to get the action from ground level to the roof.
