Ok, so I have a slight dilemma. A good friend of mine just returned from Disney on the 10th of February. They stayed at the Grand Floridian, as they always do. His son left his beloved Chip stuffed animal. They discovered this once they got home on the night of the 10th. He called the resort and spoke to housekeeping and lost & found several times since then (and so have I). It's been 2 weeks now and they have called several times to tell us that they have not located it yet, but are "still looking." My friend is getting desperate and is ready to purchase a new Chip stuffed animal which sounds easier than it actually is.
I've called the Disney Store and none of them have a stuffed Chip. I called the WDW Merchandise Service and they have the 9" Chip & Dale set, but can get it out to me in a MONTH (10-20 BUSINESS DAYS). At the present time they have no express shipping (for whatever reason). My friend's child is desperately wanting his Chip back because "Dale is lonely."
I called the Disneyland Merchandise Service and they have express shipping but they don't have the Chip and Dale set in stock. I called the Grand Floridia giftshop to see if they had them, but they are out of stock as well.
What would be your suggestion on the QUICKEST way to get this Chip and Dale to me? We know for a fact that the World of Disney, Emporium, and Mouse Gears have the set. But whenever I call information services for a direct number for any of those stores, they only give me the # for Disney Merchandise Services who I've already spoken to.
Would a conceierge at the Grand Floridian be able to help me? I mean, do you think that they could have one shipped to the Grand Floridian from Mouse Gears or Emporium (just like they do when you purchase something in the park and fill out one of those handy green sheets) and then have it shipped to him?
