Studios to Epcot

We plan to be in the studios one morning then hop over to Epcot at lunchtime. We don't want to take the bus but can't decide between walking and taking the boat. Is the walkway worth giving a try? Would we see much of interest? Same for the boat. Leaning towards walking but my 11 year old, who is happy to run about with his pals for hours playing football and happily walked miles everyday when last at Disney, has developed an aversion to walking for purely practical purposes and asked to take the car to the shop yesterday (exactly 1 minute 30 seconds away at a gentle walking pace - No!)

We did this in august. Almost always walked. It's a pretty nice walk and ALWAYS faster than the boat if you are able bodied.

One evening we did take the boat as it was lightly sprinkling. Once we got on the boat, it started down pouring. Lasted just for the trip and then it stopped. It was a wonderfully.

Again, thanks everybody. I've lurked around these boards for ages but never actually signed up - perhaps I shouldn't have because it's just enabling my addiction - and being able to get such specific responses to all my questions is fab and much appreciated.
