Storytime with character

I have vouchers from AAA for "Storytime with Character" at Expo Hall - my question, what exactly is this and who are the characters?
I have two boys, ages 11 & 9, will this be worth the effort?
Thanks for the insight

You schedule a day and time for the storytime, which takes place at Expo Hall - there's a little theater type area at the very back that CMs will direct you to. We've used this twice - the first time Aladdin made an appearance, the second time it was the Fairy Godmother - the character sits down and reads a special story (which is created based on their own particular tale), then poses for autographs/pics. JMO, but it seems more geared for younger children, than older ones. Unless they still like someone reading to them with a picture book. :shrug:There's no guarantee who the character will be either. However, if you've never done this before, it certainly wouldn't hurt to give it a shot - it's only about 20-30 minutes long, and there are some neat cutouts around the room to get pictures with. Here's an example of one of them:

Hope this helps!

Last Feb. we went to the AAA storytime and thought it was cute. Our character was the Fairy Godmother and she was very sweet. Our 7 year old girl liked it, our 12 year old daughter was too old. They both had fun afterwards taking pictures in the cut-outs though. We thought it was worth our time, but maybe it's different with girls, I don't know.
