Storybook Adventures and Fantasyland Forest magical stories

I found the answer to this question on the live chat today to be pretty interesting.

Comment From Jorge
What can we expect from Belle's Cottage?

Chris Beatty:
Belle's Cottage will house one of our storybook adventures. This will be an opportunity for our guests to be immersed in the story of Beauty and The Beast.

So does that mean we can expect more of these sorts of experiences in the near future? Perhaps something housed in a storybook circus tent?

This question also raised an interesting idea:

Thomas Smith:
From the blog, Jeremiah asks "What are you most exited for the guest to find in the new Fantasyland?"

Chris Beatty:
To answer Jeremiah's question – I think it's the Fantasyland Forest itself, coming upon the magical stories that are hidden in the forest.

I guess I should not be suprised others have choosen to act like this news was not announced today. Sadly predictable of too many here.

But why let that spoil the fun?

I have been hoping since this project was announced that Imagineering would be allowed to include such features. I am guessing a "Kim Possible" type feature for young families but it could be anything. Endless possibilities for Disney "magic" as part of the Fantasyland forest.

Excellent news!

Isn't Belles Cottage a M&G with Belle? And by "finding the magical stories" he means gift shops. :animwink:

I kid, I kid...but regardless, Im super excited for this expansion to open up. Can't wait to walk around and take it all in.

I didn't interpret his comment about the Fantasyland Forest to mean it would be a game of some sort, although that's entirely possible. I took it to mean walking around the expansion and "coming upon" the various attractions, restaurants and shops that are being build there.

That is entirely possible. But it is possible it will have interactive elements like the new game being added to the MK.

There is going to be a lot of space around the mountain and elsewhere and they tend to not leave every square inch of the MK with some detail. We will see soon enough.

I am just curious if this means that they have plans for more characters to get trhe story time treatment. I mean it sort of ties in with Belles character since she was so into books, but I could see how they could make this same idea work with the other princess.

Hmmm, I think you are onto something here. The Circus will be called Storybook Circus too. Perhaps this is the theme that ties it all together. Makes perfect sense really.
