Stormalong Bay

Going to meet some friends who are staying at the BCVillas and we are going to get to try out Stormalong Bay with them. Is this pool area as amazing as I have read? How about the Beach Club Villas? Anyone have any insight to the whole Yatch Club-Beach Club resorts? We have been to most of the deluxe resorts except these and really like GF and WL the best.

Have never stayed at either Resort but that all changes this Christmas when we stay at Yacht Club for the first time. Haveb been in Stormalong Bay many times (go figure ;) ) and it really is a great pool setting. Huge water slide that actually caused me to lose my bearings the first few times through, and many other adventures waiting throughout the massive pool.

It's a grat complex and I look forward to swimming with my sis some more!

BC Villas is fantastic. That's our home resort for DVC. Stormalong Bay is really several pools. Theres a small beach, sand on the bottom, a lazy river, several hot tubs, a whirlpool, and the slide of course. I highly reccomend Beaches and Cream. There is no more pool hopping there and they now check your resort ID.

The Beach Club is our preferred resort for many reasons. First, its location with respect to Epcot is phenomonal, there are lots of dining options nearby (Epcot, Boardwalk), and Stormalong Bay is just an absolute treat of a pool. I'm sure you'll enjoy your time there.

We love BCV (we own at VWL, but wish it was at BCV.) SAB is hands down the best pool set up at WDW. The sand bottom wading pool is wonderful for young children. Our DD had a blast there in March 2003. We want to try out other DVC resorts, but so far BCV is our fav.

The pool is very inovative, lots of hot tubs, a waterfall, rapids that run through it. The only thing I don't like is having to rent to tubes for it.

We really like the whole Y&B area. Having Epcot and boardwalk in walking distance and a boat ride to MGM. I thought the busses were fine. I adore the themeing. It is hands down my favorite WDW resort.

Beaches and Creams is the best also. We eat there once every trip (at least) regardless of where we were staying. When we stayed at OKW in aug we ate there, but was careful to avoid visitng SAB. We knew that 2 year old DD would remember it and not be able to understand that we couldn't use it that trip.

They are very careful about not allowing pool hopping. You will have to be careful about it with your friends. Be right with your friends as you enter and be sure they have their room keys with them. (it is even possible they will stop you, depending on how busy it is.) If your friends put your name on their room they can not stop you (as DVC members they don't have to pay for extra guests, but there is a limit of adults and children over 3 per room. )

Sounds like a great place. Can hardly wait. We are going with friends, and will have to be with them to go to the pools as has been explained. No pool hopping at Stormalong Bay. And the BCV sounds like a great place to stay. As we already own two weeks timeshare with RCI and II, we won't become DVC club members anytime soon, but will get to experience one of their places. Actually, I have seen the VWL and BWV and was very impressed with both places. Haven't had the chance to see OKW yet.
Thanks for the input,
Ricky
