Having stayed at beach club many times, I'm wondering what the new policy is. They always checked our room keys for verification before entering the pool, how are they doing it now that all guests will be on magic bands?

I can't confirm from first hand experience, but I'd read a while back that they put MB readers at the entrance so they could verify if you should be granted access to Stormalong.

I stayed at BC in February and they had cast members with hand readers checking magic bands at all pool entrances. We had friends staying at another resort and they couldn't visit us and use the pool. Very strict, but I applaud it because for once we could find beach chairs on Saturday and Sunday, the beginning of school vacation week.

We stayed at BC this past fall and I remember going through a gate with the MB reader.

Yes - MB readers at ALL entrances. And they check - EVERY time. My daughter and I were going to get her hair wrapped and my husband was going to the hot tub. They scanned us all on the way in, then my daughter and I exited near Hurricane Hanna's. We saw the hair wrap stand was closed, and turned around go back in and tell my husband we were going over the Boardwalk. The CM scanned us again on the way back in. And we weren't even wearing pool clothes. I thought it was great.

Other's have already covered it - but back in December they were scanning the MB to get into the pool. I didn't mind because you can use the MB to just go to the bar and purchase a drink and charge it to the room. Actually this was the best use of MB. Didn't need to bring my wallet to the pool, or my phone, or my ID. Just the MB
