Is anyone else here surprised that Stitch was named the #3 all-time favorite animated Disney character in this month's Disney Magazine?
This is from the "Readers' Choice Awards" issue.

1. Mickey Mouse (23%)
2. Winnie the Pooh (7%)
3. Stitch (6%)

Yes, I too think that that little rascal Stitch is quite adorable but the #3 of all-time??

Where's Goofy and Donald??????

Ten years from now, I doubt Stitch will be on that list (while Mickey will always remain #1).

I hold a similar belief in that Mary Poppins will make it back to number one film a decade after PoTC (since the film just came out).

Unless Disney was trying to advertise it for DVD sales. :lookaroun

Ahhh yes, General. That is another category of which the outcome was rather surprising. I just assumed that most enthusiasts who subscribe to the Disney Magazine would see it MY WAY :D and not become more taken with the "new, improved and shinier" animations than that of the classics.

The "Who is your favorite voice actor in a Disney animated film?" category surprised me as well.

1. Robin Williams (25%)
2. Walt Disney (19%)
3. John Goodman (5%)

OK.......Robin Williams was absolutely BRILLIANT and hilarious in Aladdin and I loved it with every inch of myself (*see screen name for better impact of statement). But Walt Disney as the voice of MICKEY MOUSE, for cripes sake, came in at #2???!! (sound effect at this point ....... Fred Flintstone walking away from Mr. Slate's office after being completely chewed out by him).:zipit:

I believe that these were answers that you could write in, so it is possible that people forgot Walt and put in Robin Williams. They could also not know as much as we do about the company, and not realize Walt originally was the voice of Mickey.

I agree with DisneyInsider. If this were a MULTIPLE CHOICE test, perhaps more would have selected it. But most people see Mr. Disney as the great innovator and Mickey's creator, not the voice behind the mouse.
