I was reading the post about Alien Encounter closing Oct. 15, and was wondering. Since the big party is going with Mission: Space and PhilliMagic opening on Oct. 10 I think it was, and how they are maybe announcing new rides. What if they announced the Stitch rehab during then. Ya it's just a thought and I probably don't know what I'm talking about, but I just wanted to see what you guys had to say.

We dont know at this point. Some say its going on for sure, some say its just a rumor.
Well know on either the 6th, 7th, 8th or 9th of October during the Mouse's Media Blitz. I believe MKs conference is on either the 6th or 7th. I know EPCOTs is on the 9th though.

Dont jump ahead of yourself there. Just because it might not be announced, doesn't mean it won't happen (God forbid). If it isn't, it might mean they weren't ready to annouce it yet, which would pump life into AE for a little longer.

You're right. I forgot that October 15 isn't a set-in-stone date. It would probably be that AE would just last a little bit longer.

OK I have been trying to stay out of the 15 diffrent postings about this "rehab" but I can't stands no more. Until some one shows me the page on www.waltdisneyworld.com that lists this attraction being down starting Oct. whatever or that day comes and they say I am sorry we are closed during our biggest year to date (think about it... M:S and Wishes why would they close this during the summer they are trying to get people into the parks?) can we please drop this "date" that one person said someone said to him!!!!

In fairness this forum is the "WDW Parks News and Rumors" forum, so it would be a pretty dull place if people didn't post the rumors that they have heard, and in the time i've been visiting the board, many rumors have turned out to be true. If you're only interested in Disney's official press release on subjects then this forum probably isn't suited to you.
Personally, this is one of my favourite forums, you here little tid bits of information here and there, and obviously not all rumors are going to be true but many are, and you get a good discussion going.
So I say keep the rumors coming!

And don't forget MGM's new auto stunt show, they haven't told us anything about that yet. And to a lesser extent, the major change to the animation tour (sounds like it will now be more reflective of DCA's tour, but with the actual animation facilities to tour) and the Haunted Mansion set (this may or may not be something to announce since it will most likely not be permanent). It should be an interesting media event.

That's 5 threads all essentially on the same rumoured rehab and I only went back as far as page 3.

The show will basically be the one from Paris, minus a few parts (The old water tank scene and a few other smaller parts). The eye catcher will be the truck sequence where a car thats trying to escape actually lands on a tractor trailer and drives on top of that, while the truck is moving.
You can expect to see a teaser with a real car, motorcycle and a tractor trailer driving towards each other as to collide with each other sometime in Oct or November.

Thats very odd, cuz it was in operation yesterday (9/19).
FWIW, i've been the biggest non believer on this whole stitch rehab. But its trhe talk of the park, that a stitch attraction is comming. The store is still stocked with AE merchandice - didn't see anything lilo & stitch related in there (in fact it was hard to find ANYTHING Stitch related aside from a pin).
Looks like its going to happen. I'm glad i got to ride it one last time.
