Steve Jobs on the board

Glad to see that Disney has added a visionary to it's board. Kinda funny that it was said that Disney was taking over Pixar, but Jobs now owns the most Disney stock. I'm hoping that he can add some great next generation vision to Disney World. He's done some amazing stuff with Apple, Imac, Ipod and Pixar has only turned out hit movies that my kids love. Hopefully we won't get anymore cut and paste attractions at DW from other parks.
What's your thoughts?

I share your enthusiasm for what Steve Jobs brings to the table, but I don't feel the parks, as a whole, have been doing to poorly. I mean it isn't like we are Universal or something.

Yeah - the parks continue to be one of the highest revenue sources for Disney -- but it will help to have someone who actually understands technology and the direction it is going in the future. I don't think it will have any impact, though, on the types of rides in general that are already in planning. The "cut and paste" rides from the other Disney Park are usually designed that way from the outset -- if they work in one park, they can easily be recreated in another. I don't think Jobs will have ANY say or impact on those types of attractions.

I have mixed feelings about Jobs being on the board and being the largest individual shareholder...I don't trust him, I try, but I just don't. That being said, I'm happy that Pixar is now Disney. :D
