Stepsisters- only 1900 Park Fare?

Trying to fine-tune our ADRs for May trip. Doing Akerhaus breakfast, not doing Cinderella's Royal Table at all.

My 3 yr old daughter has made it clear she does NOT want to see Drizella & Anatasia, "they are mean" and "what if they ruin my dress?".

I had thought about adding 1900 Park Fare as dinner for our arrival day. Would need to move our Whispering Canyon reservation to the following night (currently has available ADRs). Thought it would be easier travel that first day rather than have to go (all the way) to Wilderness for the Whispering Canyon dinner. But, I am now seeing comments that the stepsisters are at 1900 Park Fare. Yes? Always? Dinner only? Are they involved in any other character dinners?

If it were any other day than our arrival day, I would simply make her get over it... but since it is our arrival day, and she will be exhausted by dinner time, I want to avoid the drama that those nasty stepsisters would cause me.

Please share any insight you have on the locale of the stepsisters.
And, what other dinners would you suggest INSIDE MK (or on monorail).
THANKS SO MUCH!

I can completely understand why a 3 year old would not like them based on movies, etc. but honestly they are wonderfully entertaining and funny. They have been our favorite character interactions beginning when our boys were very young.... actually 3 years old! Maybe try Crystal Palace or Chef Mickey's instead. Have fun!

I totally understand not wanting to upset a 3 year old on arrival day. My daughter is 3 as well, and if I knew she wanted to avoid a character, I'd probably be doing my best to avoid them too. :)

On the monorail, we really enjoy Kona Cafe & 'Ohana. I also like the Chef Mickey or Crystal Palace options. It will be convenient for you to stay in the park or on the monorail that first day too, when you're already tired.

As others have mentioned, yes, the step-sisters are at dinner at 1900 Park Fare. Our first dinner there was when our daughter was 3. She was wearing a Cinderella dress. By the end of the night, she was begging her mother to sew her both Drizella and Anastasia dresses. (which did happen and led to some of the most memorable nights we have ever had at the World) Every child is different and ours has always adjusted to different situations pretty well, but just wanted to let you know our experience.

I do understand your 3yr olds trepidation regarding the stepsisters. You could put your reservation for later in the trip and meet the sisters in Fantasyland your first day. They are next to the right castle gate every afternoon for 30 minutes at a time (with the Fairy Godmother in between the sister's visits.) If that goes well, you could then go to dinner:) If not (but I doubt it) have a backup dinner and make sure you cancel 1900 before your 24 hours to avoid a charge.
I agree with everyone else. They ARE MY FAVORITE character interaction.
Take a look at my avatar and you will see the kind of interaction you get with the step-sisters. I had NO IDEA that Anastasia photobombed not only this picture but also the selffie I took with Lady Tramaine, until I went back and looked at my phone.

I got an ADR for Whispering Canyon for day #2 and was able to secure a new ADR at Crystal Palace for day #1.

This way we can avoid the stepsisters, at least at a meal. If we see them at the park, easy to avoid - or, at least, observe from afar. I have told my daughter that the stepsisters have grown up and aren't so mean anymore... but she's 3 and takes everything so literally. I hope to see the stepsisters myself as the interactions I have been reading sound delightfully sarcastic (right up my alley). We shall see :)

THX!

The sisters are a blast. They are very nice to the little ones as are all characters and princesses. We had a great time with them. They are at 1900 Park Fare for dinner only. I would say that for breakfast, the Mad Hatter can be a lot to handle and he is really loud. I woke up on the wrong side of the bed that morning (I am being honest), and he annoyed me when he first came out. But by the time he got to our table, I was ready to mess around with him, and we got some very good pics of he and I making faces. And, Mary Poppins had a lot to do with me getting into a better mood. She may not be an official princess, but she is a princess to me and my absolute favorite.
