Steak sandwich no longer on BOG lunch menu

Ate lunch at BOG yesterday and was very disappointed that the yummy steak sandwich is no longer on the menu. In its place is a carved roast beef sandwich with a sour cream horseradish sauce. The roast beef was tasty, but I much prefer the steak.

Ice cold is never good...except when ice cream is involved. Did it come back OK, or was he on to something else after that?

If you want a sandwich go with the Croque Monsieur. Otherwise, I would go with the braised pork followed by no less than one of every dessert they have at the time.

They brought another steak sandwich but he said it was nothing to write home about.

My husband had the Croque Monsier and said it was just okay, and he's a man who'll eat most anything. The braised pork got raves from our dining companions (and is my husband's favorite as well.) Agree with Master Yoda's assessment of the desserts!

I had the steak sandwich and I thoroughly enjoyed but I did read reviews that others did not share my sentiment. Looks like I'm getting the braised pork or the Croque Monsieur the next time I go to Be Our Guest for lunch because I'm not anticipating of being able to go there for dinner anytime soon!

i had the steak sandwich during the preview. we did lunch and it was chewier than eating a sneaker and it was the same way when my granddaughter had the kids steak for dinner in late january. maybe the hit or miss of it was why it's now off the menu????

When I saw this thread I was a bit disappointed because the steak sandwich is what I was planning to get. But you have all convinced me to try the Croque Monsieur, and of course a dessert or two! Thanks!

Just heard the news and I'm incredibly ed off. My favorite thing on the menu, by far Any suggestions for BOG now that it's off of the menu? I tried the Croque Monsieur and hated it due to the bechamel, but the ham and cheese were good. Seriously, they drenched that thing in bechamel.
