Steak at The Coral Reef?

Has anyone had the steak at The Coral Reef Restaurant ?
If so, was it good?

My wife made reservations there for our next trip and I checked the menu and it's the only thing on the menu that looks good to me.

yes! i had the filet mignon, and it was delicious. i had a difficult time ordering seafood while watching the fish swim around. it paid off. very tender and flavorful, nice sauce accompaniment. enjoy!

I completely agree with the last post. Except that, I did try the fish as well (surf/turf), and I regretted only the seafood half. I am not a seafood fan, but I often try new things in WDW, as their usually some of the best restaurants we'll go to all year.
However, if you like crabcakes at all, I highly suggest you get them as an appetizer.

I, also, have had the steak at Coral reef. I thought is was very good! (And I am a steak snob LOL)

Even if you are not a seafood person, I highly recommend the lobster bisque for an appetizer....it is thinner than most bisques but it is very good. Both DH and I really enjoyed our meal here in Sept for our anniversary trip.

I loved the steak there and my nephew had chicken, which I really am not a big chicken lover/eater, but tasted it and it was very good.

I hate seafood (I'm a bad New Englander) but the NY Strip Steak there was fantastic. :slurp:

the filet mignon is right up there...i live near chicago, and we get filet @ morton's, and i'd say they coral reef is on the same level. maybe i just had an awesome experience. not complaining!

I can second this! I had the steak with the lobster bisque appetizer on our trip in December and DH kept trying to get me to go "halvsies" with him! Not that his was bad, but mine was just SO much better! :slurp: (He had the Caeser Salad and the Salmon...)
