Staying offsite - Success in getting good fastpasses?

Is it possible to get good fastpasses times if you stay offsite and can only get fastpasses 30 days out? I'm concern d about staying offsite because we might not get the great rides (Everest, Space, etc) or we will get really bad times (I.e. Break time in the afternoon). Has anyone had success getting everything you wanted while staying offsite?

We stayed off site before moving here and never had any issues getting the FP+'s we wanted for those days.

Even living here now, we often make FP's the day of and still get the ones we want even fore the BIG attractions, like Space, Everest, etc. The only few we have issues with from time-to-time is 7 Dwarfs, Frozen Ever After & Toy Story Midway Mania. Other than that, you honestly should be pretty good on FP's.

I wouldn't worry too much about it really.

When I stayed offsite in April for a business trip, I did a one day visit to MK. I had FPs for Peter Pan, Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain. So yes, I was very happy with my selections.

You essentially have two choices -

1) Stay in a WDW Resort hotel and maximise your FP choice and times, close to what you want / fit into your plans, or,
2) Stay offsite and be grateful for what FP you can get and make your schedule fit around the FP

You're unlikely to get FP for 7 Dwarves (for example) until evening (if at all) - this will depend on the time of year of your visit. Remember that FP isn't everything - there is still the Stand By lines

I have helped a client this week who is staying offsite but purchased tickets through me set up their FastPasses for October. They've been able to get Everest, Space Mtn, Soarin, Splash Mtn; they've not been able to get Mine Train or Frozen. I think their FastPasses are great, especially for staying off-site, but having stayed both offsite and onsite myself, I highly suggest staying onsite for more reasons than just FastPass availability!

We got both FEA and SDMT for our trip in August staying off site. That being said I made them at exactly 7am at the 30 day mark. We also hit both of those right at rope drop and close with out much of a line. You can have a wonderful trip off site with a little planning. Good luck getting what you want.

When I booked at promptly 7am, 30 days out, we were able to get every single attraction we wanted. The only ride I didn't see available was Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. There were even Frozen Fastpasses left, but to my knowledge I'm pretty sure we got lucky.

So, you'd have to be okay with not getting Frozen or Seven Dwarfs, but everything else should be a piece of cake to get for the morning.
