I have never gone to WDW without reservations before in my life. I guess if you're not sure if you want to commit, and you're going at a slow time if year, you can take your chances. But I'd be sure I would be Ok with an alternative, whether it be more or less expensive if I were you. Good luck!

My memory is a bit fuzzy, but I could have sworn you were looking at going in Nov. I can't remember how close to Thanksgiving or Food & Wine, but I don't think I'd chance it at that time of year. Not sure if you're trying to get worked in to WL for lodging or if you're staying at WL and were wondering if that helped with regard to ADRs, but if you're talking about dining- if you want to do TS meals and you have your heart set on anything in particular...I'd start trying to book ADRs asap. Assuming again it's Nov you're looking at- you're going to see larger crowds for Food & Wine, Free Dining, FLE previews officially starting, Jersey Week, and the holiday festivities kicking off- especially Thanksgiving week.

A reservation for what? To stay there? Absolutely. It is a hotel and does require them. Or are you asking about reservations to eat at a particular restaurant at the Wilderness Lodge? You need to clarify what you're asking about.

I agree with other posters, the question, although vague, we assume you mean a restaurant at Wilderness Lodge. Do you mean Whispering Canyon Cafe? Well, depends, if you're going during a busy time of year, I wouldn't chance it, especially if it's a restaurant your family is looking forward to.

Going on the assumption that we are discussing dining, I have been seated at Whispering Canyon without a reservation. I have not at Artist Point.
As a recommendation I would call even at this late date and make ADRs.

We did - got 1 table of 4 - will be on the lookout now for another table of 4 at same time! Anything can happen!
