When WDW had the Pay for 4, Stay for 7, we opted to 'upgrade' from our usual 'moderate' hotel to the AKL..We only had to pay $200 more. We only booked the standard room. I had read in some 'unofficial' guides that if you ask nicely, especially in the off-season,they may upgrade you for free. So imagine my surprise when I was checking in that I did't even have to give the puppy dog eyes..the fairy godmother behind the counter said "Oh, you've been upgraded to a Savannah view room at no charge!" We stayed on zebra trail--the last room down a long, long hall.When we woke in the am, we sat on our balcony, and sawbeautiful animals. Also, the pool was great for my kids--they loved the waterslide. The hotel itself is fantastic. I just wish we had stayed longer than a week as the hoel had so many activities going on that we missed by going to the parks. One thing you should NOT miss is the storytelling at 7:30--we had a great time!!
