Never having the opportunity to attend before we would like to make the most of it. Would anyone share any tips and advice to make sure we get the most out of it. We are booked for the breakfast.

Be there at least 30 minutes before rope drop unless you plan to get autographs. Then, you need to be there hours before the park opens. People actually get there around midnight. Some bring sleeping bags. If you aren't getting autographs, go straight to the Mall. The line gets very long, very fast. We have found that if we go during the motorcade, there is barely any line at all. We usually do the motorcade one or two of the days and shop the other day. We went in May and June last year. In May, the Mall was full of merchandize, but by June, there was barely anything left worth buying.
The Sci Fi breakfast was so much fun. It's priced ridiculously, but we have ressies to do it again this year, so it must be worth it to us. The interplay with the characters was great. One of the characters grabbed my son--a grown man-- and made him put his hands up in an arrest manner. It was a riot. Another held a laser/gun on him.
They came by the table several times while we were there.
If you can't get a fastpass for the special shows, just make sure and get there as soon as the first show goes in, and you'll be able to get in the next one without a fastpass. We did this for two shows. The Stormtrooper pre show is hilarious. They had them at the Premier Theater at the back of the park last year. I'm not sure where they'll be this year.
One more thing, don't miss the fireworks.
