I was wondering exactly what it is that Star Wars weekends are in May! Does this occur in every park or just the Studios! If anyone has ever seen this or if you have info please let me know!

It is just in the Disney Studios, centered mainly around the Star Tours attraction. They have a lot of Star Wars costumed characters, activites for the kids, parades, classic SW arcade games, etc.

Each weekend they have 2 SW actors appear for autographs and to give a lil talk. There are usually exclusive pins, t-shirts and posters available. If you want autographs, its good to get there early, as they only do a limited number each day. They hand out numbered wristbands in the morning as you enter.

They play SW music in the Studios park all day, I went once and they had a SW documentary playing a in a theater. They're pretty fun!

I went in May of 2001 and had a GREAT time. They had SW characters walking around the parks. Tons of Stormtroopers, Tusken Raiders, etc. A Jawa even tried to rummage through my backpack...it was so funny.

The first one I went to was 3 years ago. I wanted to meet Carrie Fisher. I missed out on the first day I was there because I showed up too late. So, I stayed at the park, in the parking lot, all night to ensure getting her autograph. I thought 'oh no, I'm going to stand outside of this place all night long,' but more and more fans showed up and it was a blast! I got no sleep at all and was the first person into the park and to meet Princess Leia!

The rides seemed a lot more real for the rest of that day, due to the lack of sleep. The Alien Encounter in MK was freaky, it was also the first time I did it!

No, Lucas has never attended a SW Weekend as far as I know. He doesn't seem to be one to meet his public much. The only time he did was at the tenth anniversary convention, back in 1987 in California.

I would love to meet George Lucas as well. He is right up there with Walt as far as I am concerned.

They could get him at the Grand Re-Opening of a new version of Star Tours!

Okay, and here is another of my ideas, to update that ride. First of all, new movie. Make it in 3D, and for 3D glasses they can give you like X-Wing pilot helmets like in the movie, only these have the 3D lenses in them. Then put mini air cannons inside the vehicles to help simulate battle conditions. They could make the simulator move a little more too, like an actual ride, but keep the simulator part as well. LOL, okay, I'll stop now...
