Star Wars Weekends is a Studios only event. You get some pretty good crowds during the time, but they tend to stay over near Star Tours side of the park and also near the Backlot Tour area because of Photo Ops, Celebrity Signings and WTTBAM Star Wars Edition. You will find a good deal of collectors will be in line for Tatooine Traders to get event only merchandise as well. Other than that, it's about normal crowds and lines, or it was this past year during the times I went.

Star Wars Week-end
We were there last May and our last day was the Friday before Memorial Day. Since it was our last last day we park-hopped three parks with MGM being last. It was very crowded around the Star Tours ride with characters everywhere. A CM told us that all three day week-ends are busy as locals come to the parks for a longer visit.
BTW we fast-passed ToT and had a two hour wait, the longest of our trip.

i was there last year and it was one of my best days ever!!
crowds where pretty heavy but i didnt know it was a SWW until i saw leaflets in the resort lobby so i go and everyones dressed up like SW characters and all little kids who are dressed up do jedi training -seeing them in all there outfits was cute!
crowds pretty busy from great movie ride all the way through to LMX, if you do go that way be prepared for "if one moves then we can move" rule. they had special editions of WWTBAM star wars special at certain times throughout the day, character meet and greets. i swear to god the CM who was signing autographs who was suppose to be hayden christiensen looked the spitting image of him - i couldnt get over it!!
its such a fun experience and if you get the special SWW maps they turn into a lightsabre - different maps=different colours.
it was empty by RNRC and ToT.
