Star Wars Weekends

During my next Disney Vacation the Star Wars Weekend is happening. I have never been there so I was wondering if any one could give me an idea of what to expect. My husband is a HUGE fan, and I want to make sure he enjoys it, so if anyone has any tips as well please let me know!

I've been to every one of them so far and they are a lot of fun. If you or your significant others are big fans, I am sure that it will be a lot of fun for you. There are SW characters everywhere during the weekends. You'll see Stormtroopers on the entrence and SW music plays in the background all day. There are a few things geared toward the kids, which is fun if you have any! Sometimes there are SW doc films playing in the one theater there.

They also have SW versions of Who Wants to be a Millionaire Play It! There will also be actors from the films, 2 per weekend, who sign autographs. If you don't have anything for them to sign, Disney hands out free pics, but to get a sinature you have to go get a fast pass in the back of the park. A CM will show you where, just ask.

Of course there are a lot of collectibles to buy. Each year has a new and unique SW/Disney logo which is featured on posters, T-shirts, etc. The Weekends are the only time you can get them, so do it!

Yeah, it's a great event, I will be there most of the weekends. Calling daily to see if the celeb list has been listed with Disney yet, no luck. Will post asa I find out. Thanks-

It was funny... I had my full abe lincon beard at the time, and when I walked over to get a pic, Chewy was like comparing my beard with his. ;-)

Good times. I wish I was going during SWW this year, but my GF says if we go for that, then it's a selfish trip for me, not a trip for us... lol.

I don't really know, yet. I was leaning towards not doing it. That's a really tough time for us this year since May is around the time when our house will be completed and we have a lot of things to buy. He really wants to go. I may have to do something since it looks like Episode III is going to be PG-13 and he may not be able to see it. Maybe my annual bonus will be bigger than normal? I hope we can!
