Star Wars Weekends questions???

As a mom to two boys that ADORE all of the Star Wars films, we have never actually been in the world during the Star Wars Weekends. My 9 year old really wants to come this year...but here is my problem...

My mother in law bought us annual passes to come to wdw April 26-April 30 to see my sister in law and brother in law from France. In order to do Star Wars weekends, we will ned to come back (an 8 hr drive each way) a few weeks later, not impossible, just untimely.

Here a few questions:

1. Considering the main person that will really enjoy the weekend is 9, is there enough Star Wars weekend activity at Hollywood Studios (not the regular rides) that he will enjoy to make coming back so soon worthwhile? He is really not interested in autographs at all.

2. Are certain weekends more popular/crowded than others?

3. What activities are good for a 9 year old? He may have a bit of spending money ($20) but will not be able to do expensive things...

Thanks!!

Honestly...if he doesn't care about meeting the characters - you really aren't missing anything MAJOR at Star Wars Weekends. They have a parade too but again if he's not interested in meeting the actors - not a huge deal. Sounds the like Jedi Training Academy would be right up his alley and you can do that any day - not just SWW. Get to DHS early and sign him up! Have fun!

Plaz10 is right. If the meet and greets aren't his thing then no reason to return for Star Wars weekend. My 7 year old loves Star Wars as well. Here's his list of must do's

1. Jedi Training Academy. As soon as the park opens sign him up for this. It's really cool. Free
2. A great photo op to sit on an Endor Speeder. Free
3. The Star Tours ride has multiple scenes. It's possible to ride it multiple times and get a different experience each time.
4. In the Star Wars gift shop you can build your own light saber. Around 20 bucks depending on what you build.

Those always satisfy my little guy.
