Star Wars Weekends axed for 2002

Form the tone of the article, it places more of the Blame on George Lucas than it does Disney.

But if you had been planning the trip, Star Wars weekends NEVER appeared on any Disney Event calender for this year at all. The other events: Flower and Garden / Food and Wine, Christmas Evetns, are all listed.

So I guess when they didn't schedule it, months ago, you could have taken that as somewhat of a hint.

Or you could adjust your plans to go to the event that the Star Wars creator is planning instead.

Star Wars weekends have never been

posted before April in the history of the event. I am not placing blame on either Lucas or Disney. But I don't appreciate the tone of " I should have checked before I scheduled my trip" because as I said earlier and in other posts this event has never shown up on a Disney Calendar before April - as they always wait to see what stars were confirmed to appear. If you wait to reserve a trip in April you will not be able to get one. I have been to WDW 2 times a year for the past 10 years and I know that checking their events calendar means nothing, with the exception of extended events like the 100 years of magic.

Well they weren't on the web calender or officialy announced last year until around this time either.

It was a bit of a guess.
