Looks like there will be a few familiar faces in the new Star Wars movie when 2015 comes along. Does anyone remember Luke, Leia, and Han from the originial movies??? :)

Oops! George Lucas may have just stolen the thunder from his lead stars. The Star Wars creator accidentally revealed in an interview with Bloomberg Businessweek that Harrison Ford (Han Solo), Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia) and Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) have already signed on for Star Wars: Episode VII.
"We had already signed Mark and Carrie and Harrison -- or we were pretty much in final stages of negotiation. So I called them to say, 'Look, this is what's going on,'" Lucas, 68, said of Disney buying Lucasfilm, and planning to release Star Wars: Episode VII in 2015.

You've seen what Carrie Fisher looks like these days?????

I don't get out much... no, I'm just kidding. I just find it super interesting that they are bringing the old gang back. I am actually really surprised. I mean, they might as well just go all the way and shock the hell out of everyone by putting Fisher back in her slave outfit. They could play it off like that scene in About Schmidt with Kathy Bates and Jack Nicholson.

Both of them just need a good face-lift and a laser peel. And Mark needs to get his nose re-done. He's needed that for years. The surgeon who repaired his face after his car accident was a real hack (quack?).

You guys are so mean. What do you expect? They arent in their 20's anymore. Carrie Fisher was 19 when they started filming. They dont look any worse than any other people their age.

I suppose it's just a western culture thing where people think the more someone has aged...the less useful they are. Luckily, the majority of the world doesn't think the way our cultures do.

Glad to see the gang back! My biggest concern is story, and how they will be able to pick up a saga which ended brilliantly in ROTJ (okay, minus the teddy bear treehouse picnic). But still...everything was wrapped up after ROTJ, so I hope this rebirth can do it right without making the story seem unnecessary.

Plus, in one or more of the 23 updates to the original trilogy, they now show emperor monuments and like being toppled and fireworks celebrations on planets all over the cosmos because the destruction of the partially built death star that was full of friends and family doing contractor work apparently immediately hastened the fall of the Empire and ushered in a new government.........Maybe they can do something brilliant like start with an exciting economic blockade of some kind that seems to have absolutely no detrimental effect on the planet being blockaded.

If they follow the Timothy Zahn novels, Han and Leia get married and have twins Jacen and Jaina who are strong with the force. Luke becomes a grand master Jedi and trains hundreds of new Jedi while fighting off a new wave of sixth lords and Darths. The Empire did not fall after Episode 6, ROTJ, so there,s a lot in store for Mark, Carrie and Harrison!

For me its been fairly obvious that they were going to get them back for the new movie. What we don't know is to what capacity of a roll they will have. I would think Luke will have the largest roll and the other 2 will be more of a background roll. Who knows, they could all be just slightly glorified cameos.
