Multiple outlets are now reporting on the rumor that Creative Assembly is currently developing a new Total War game based on Star Wars.

Creative Assembly, the developer of the Total War games, are said to be developing a total of three new games in the strategy series. One of the games is reportedly an officially licensed Star Wars game.
Coming off last year's release of Total war: Pharaoh, Creative Assembly is believed to be returning to more of a fantasy setting in a galaxy far, far away.
"As of October 2023, Total War: Star Wars was reportedly the second of three new Total War games that are allegedly in the works at Creative Assembly," the site claims.
However, it sounds like the game is still a far way off. Creative Assembly Sofia is currently working on a new, large-scale update for Total War: Pharaoh. And with the game not officially announced yet, the rumored Total War: Star Wars may not be released for a couple of years.
Insider-Gaming's Tom Henderson — a reputable gaming insider known for his leaks — corroborated DualShockers report with his own statement:
Creative Assembly's Total War is a series of strategy games that combine turn-based strategy and resource management with real-time tactical battles. The series debuted in 2000 with Shogun: Total War and has seen a new game released almost annually ever since.
Given the large-scale battles and political undertones of the Star Wars movie franchise, it would seem to be a perfect theme for a new Total War game.
The annual PC Gaming Show is set to take place on June 9 at 1:00 p.m. PT / 4:00 p.m. ET. The live stream will showcase the "latest and greatest in PC games" with new announcements and a few surprises. We can't say for sure if Creative Assembly will debut Total War: Star Wars during the stream — especially since we don't know if it's even real or how far in development it actually is. But it would make for a wonderful surprise.
