Many of you may have already seen this, but if you haven't, I don't think there are any spoilers in this video. If you want to stay 100% away, then move along, move along.

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Episode VIII."

I wonder how many people will go to Rogue One thinking it's the sequel to Episode VII?

I am guessing that will be a non-zero number.
It's interesting that Disney's marketing of The Force Awakens barely mentioned the fact that it was Episode VII. The trailers and posters all billed it as Star Wars: The Force Awakens. I think the only official place I can recall seeing "Episode VII" was in the opening crawl. I think that'll exacerbate the confusion about Saga versus Anthology films.

Unrelated: I hope future installments of the Anthology line deviate from the Battle of Yavin timeline a bit. I'd love to go back to the Old Republic and see Revan on screen.

I would love that as well but I am not holding my breath.

The timeline that is post episode 3 is what the masses want and I have a feeling that is what Disney will deliver.

At best, if they do a Yoda film we might end up close to 1000 BBY, but nothing approaching KOTOR timeline.

Yeah, that brings up the even worse question, how many people will think Rouge One was the Episode VII sequel even after they saw it. ;)
Well, considering it doesn't have Rey, Finn, Kylo Ren or even Han or Luke in it but does have Darth Vader, stormtroopers and Grand Moff Tarkin, I think you would have to be trolling or a complete idiot not to understand it's unrelated.

There does seem to be no shortage of these in the real world.

Think so? A Jedi civil war would sell a ton of toys.

Is that the prevailing wisdom about the third anthology film? Boba Fett was strongly rumored for awhile but it seems to have gone a bit silent.

That is if they stick with what was done before. Disney had no issue just erasing nearly all of the EU....even in case of stuff that really did not matter like planet names.

I am not all that confident that Disney will retain anything from KOTOR.

HK-47 is in the EA mobile game, Galaxy of Heroes. I think we'll see something along the lines of an off-the-cuff mention of Ajunta Pall or something like that, but I agree that I don't expect any great exploration of the Old Republic era. Best-case scenario for me would be a proper KOTOR 3, but that ain't happening either.

I would have been happy with a single player campaign in Battlefront.

I don't object to what Battlefront became. I'm not much of a gamer and it's the only game I've ever played online, but I'm about 40 hours in and strongly considering the Season Pass.
It is a great game, just not my flavor. I like a single player campaign with a story that is not dependent on other players.

I can deal with co-op being an option like on Borderlands, but if I must have other players to finish elements of the game (eg Destiny), I am out.
