Star Wars: Empire at War

On February 16, a new Star Wars RTS game will be released. There is now a demo available for download from several mirror sites. Here's the link to the website for the game, it has links for the mirror sites you can download the demo from. Just a warning, it is a pretty darn big file, so expect the download to take awhile, even with broadband connections.

So I downloaded the Demo for this and I have to say, so far I like it. The Demo has the first five tutorials and a single player campaign on it. When you enter battles, you can choose to view it from a cinematic perspective as well, which brings you right in close like you were watching the movies. It really looks like it's going to be worth getting.

I have been looking forward to this release as well. The game play does seem rather complex at first but after a little while I found myself bumping around like a pro. It is definitely a vast improvement over Galactic battle grounds. Now I just need to build a new PC with enough cahones to run it.

when is it supose to take place, during the mew movies or the originals?

From my understanding the majority of it will take place during the reign of the Empire. From what is in the demo it seems to take place between Episode 3 and 4.
