star wars boutique park

No, but would be a cool idea. Plus, they could clone a lot of stuff (yes, I know the general reaction around here to that) from the potential third game in Anaheim.

Also, if they are really considering a Disney Star Wars boutique park, that's the one good reason I can think about holding off on adding SW stuff to DHS. I mean, you aren't going to add a bunch of theming and attractions to DHS for Star Wars and then later create an entire (smallish) theme park to the same IP.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
I also would not bother, unless it were part of the Water Parks and More pass. I'm done with Quest, so this would be a nice add on.
On second thought, maybe not even then.
Disregard my profile pic, it is not indicative of anything.

If they ever did it under the current system, that would likely be how it would work and they'd bump up the price of the WP&M option. They'd also probably cut back on the number of days you get with WP&M because otherwise you'd have people do something like a 4 day pass with WP&M and then go 4 days to the other parks, 3 days to SW and one to a water park/Disneyquest, which would be a relatively cheap week long vacation compared to currently. Yes, people could do that now, but they probably wouldn't spend half their vacation on only the water parks and Disneyquest.

Or I guess they could have SW count as 2 entitlements from the WP&M feature. That might kinda work out (assuming a relatively similar system to what they do now, which is probably not a safe assumption).

So, an interesting question is... what would a Star Wars boutique park look like. We'd probably be talking about something like 10 attractions separated into various "lands" of different world of the Star Wars universe, such as:

1. Tantooine
2. Hoth
3. Endor (or Kashyyyk, I don't see them doing both)
4. Dagobagh
5. Coruscant
6. Naboo
7. Death Star

Other lands could be from the new movies. I think other planets like Mustafar, Kamino or Geonosis are less likely. I think they'd probably only have 1-2 rides per land and probably go heavier on "walk through" attractions or just atmosphere to absorb. They almost intentionally would want to make it a "half day park" and keep it kind of small.

One of the interesting predicaments is whether they would base all the lands in the same time period or have them be in the time period of the most famous events. I think they'd do the later, for the purposes of making compelling attractions.

You can pretty much count on SW themed rooms, along the lines of the Princess and Pirates rooms.

That would make the "boutique" park bigger than the "real" parks.

The atmosphere itself would be great! And the resteraunts. Imagine sitting at "Death Star: A buffet with with character." Meet and greets with Darth Vader, Luke, and Jabba while you eat. Could even put on a dinner show. Now that would be the park with the most attendance!

Well, I'm not suggesting all those worlds would be used, just that those would be the most likely options. Also, I picture each world being relatively small, more like pavilions in the World Showcase than lands from MK.

I always thought that having full parks for properties like Star Wars, Marvel, and Pixar was crazy... But now I realize... I'm having an epiphany that. Small boutique parks are AWESOME for these properties!! I mean I'm fine if they just keep them at DHS, but this is a great idea!

Disneyland gets Marvel boutique park with the whole S.H.I.E.L.D recruit spiel, Walt Disney World gets Star Wars with Jedi Training Academy. (Assuming it is like the website says)

but i hope it's not the type of thing that's like a guided tour with a special order to the rides.

i want it to be like a theme park... but just very small

I would rather have a full-sized Star Wars theme park. If you're gonna do something, might as well go all the way.
full sized theme park is too big for one property imo (i love star wars btw). i think a boutique park is perfect for it
