I saw that there wasn't a thread for this, so I figured I'd start one. I was wondering if anyone bought this game and what they thought about it.

I haven't played it too much yet, but enjoy it so far. The split-screen 2 player missions are pretty cool, and the game overall is pretty good. Online play was fun, but there are some improvements that could be made.

Overall, it's a very solid game.

For the most part I like it. It is kinda fun to play as the Empire, but for some reason, whenever I play as the Clone Army, it always seems to come down to the last few troops on either side to decide the final outcome. I recently had one battle using the Clones that literally came down to 1-1 for troop numbers and I was lucky enough to find them before they found me. 1-0 is a little too close for my liking, but it seems that they have trouble with the Droidekas because of the personal energy shields.

How do you get the split screen option to be selectable? For me, even if I have two controllers plugged in (that both work, by the way), the option on the Main Menu stays grayed out and I can't select it.

I'm not sure. I know when I had only one controller plugged in, the box was dark, and I couldn't do it. But every time I had 2 controllers in, it worked. Maybe you need more memory card space to create a profile to use. I'm not sure, but that may be the reason. Hope it helps.

Bought the game for PS2, it's good, but not as good as I expected, i expected a more innovative game design, maybe i expected too much. Why can't you blow up the Death Star???

Because, there would be no place for you to walk over to a vehicle that was in space, only ground vehicles. There are plenty of opportunities to blow up the Death Star in other games...

I get a ridiculous amount of pleasure driving an AT-AT and blowing things (and people) up over X-Box Live. Maybe a little too much pleasure? :slurp:

I also really like how the sound effects are spot on. I don't like the controls for the X-Wings and Tie Fighters, though.

I opted to rent it and wasn't impressed....there are better Star Wars games out there, IMO (especially that Trilogy arcade game).
