Looks like the 2nd anthology movie will be about Boba Fett.

May the 4th was, predictably, a big day for Star Wars news, just like last Friday was a big day for Avengers: Age of Ultron.

While Marvel tacked another movie onto it’s line of sequels to Iron Man, news quietly broke that Josh Trank, the director of Chronicle and the upcoming remake of Fantastic Four, left his job on the second Star Wars Anthology movie (the first being next year’s Rogue One directed by Gareth Edwards).

Up until today we only had the vaguest inklings as to what this movie could be about, much of it rendered extremely unlikely by the reveal that Anthology: Rogue One was going to take place before A New Hope, freeing up the Disney non-trilogy Star Wars movies to jump through the universe’s timeline.

On Star Wars Day, The Wrap broke the news that the next, now director-less, Star Wars movie will be focused on fan favorite Bounty Hunter Boba Fett. You might be having déjá vu, because there is an existing Star Wars movie that also has the origin of Boba Fett. It is called Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones and it is not good........

While I love Fett, I was really hoping for a movie that would focus on one of the new characters from force awakens. It will be interesting to see if they go origin story or does he make it out of the Sarlacc or maybe its in-between new hope and empire. I wonder who will be taking over the directors chair now that Trank has left.

I wouldn't mind seeing a story about him set between Episodes III and IV. Clone Wars show some of what happened to him after Episode II and they also introduced some new bounty hunter characters that they could bring into the movie.

If they do a movie featuring Boba Fett, then you have the dilemma of how you cast Boba. Do you get someone that looks like he is supposed to look, or do you just not worry about it.

If he's up for it, why not Temuera Morrison? Or at least he can voice the character even if someone else is in the suit (assuming he always wear the armor).

I doubt he would wear the armor the who time. Temuera was ok in Ep II, but I don't know if he could carry a film as lead actor.

"SchmoesKnows have heard a RUMOR that Boba Fett will indeed appear the second anthology movie. It will also have young versions of Han Solo, Chewbacca, and Lando Calrissian. That means new actors (presumably) for all three well-known characters. The briefly-seen bounty hunter Bossk, who was a much bigger character in spinoff media, allegedly will also be appearing. It sounds like this could be a rip-roaring space western with the outlaws and scoundrels needing to get away from all the bounty hunter scum. That could be pretty badass."

I do like the idea but they need to be extremely careful when recasting such an iconic character like Solo. With all of the anthology movies and rumors set in-between 6 and 7 or before, I really hope they put more care into continuity than Lucas did with the prequels.
