SSR pull down twin bed

I'll be staying in a One Bedroom, with 5 Adults. My question is the pull down twin. Will that fit an adult or should we get an air mattress. It also states no bedding is provided, can I request extra bedding?

How did you book the room? Direct with Disney or by renting points either directly with an owner or via a broker?

The refurbished 1-beds had the pull down twin added, so it will now sleep 5 “adults”. A small adult or teen will fit on the pull down. And now that the 1-beds sleep 5 they will provide bedding for 5.

Where are you seeing no bedding will be provided for the 5th person? That wording is reserved for some DVC resorts for members booking 1-bedroom villas on points (which would also include guests renting points from an owner). The resorts where that applies are where a studio sleeps 5 but there are only beds for 4 in the 1-beds. That used to be case for SSR but not since the refurb. However that never applied to guests booking direct with Disney because they didn’t allow them to book 5 people in them.

However there are a handful of 1-bedroom villas at SSR that didn’t have the pulldown twin added. If an owner books a 1-bedroom it is possible that they would not have that pull-down twin. In that case they would need an air bed and bedding wouldn’t be provided.

Which is why I asked how you booked.

I rented thru David's Vacation Club(1st time ever doing this) and stated I have 5 adults. I may have visited to many websites trying to figure out the pull out twin situation, but several stated no bedding or towels provided for 5th person. This was looking at SSR information.

Some places also stated air mattress are available a 1st come, 1st serve basis and I am not sure if I completely believe that. I can order a mattress to be delivered and we can probably pull enough stuff off the beds to accommodate the 5th person.

I have always booked direct with WDW when there were 4 of us, now there is a boyfriend :), that has never been to WDW and was to new to bring last year to bring on a family vacation. When I compared AoA or family suites elsewhere, I couldn't believe the cost. I follow a lot of people that take the route and renting points. I can not believe the savings, plus its a deluxe resort!!! We have only stayed at Value resorts.

That info you’re reading from sites other than the official Disney or DVC ones are out of date from before SSR was refurbed.

I think with 5 people on the reservation you would be very unlucky to get one of the rooms without that twin bed. It seems it’s only a handful, maybe either HA ones or those with a different layout. I wouldn’t worry about it.

If for any reason you did get one ask the front desk to move you. So maybe go the front desk first before going to the room and check with them that it has the twin bed.
