I was wondering if anyone had a map of SSR that named that buildings? We are heading down in May and I would like to see where each building is so that I can make my request. Also, if anyone has stayed at SSR and has a favorite building please let me know.

Thanks for all of your help.:ROFLOL:

We always like staying in The Springs (section 14, 3501-3836) as it is right across from the main pool, restarants and check-in.

That map must be from a few years ago as it is missing The Carosel and The Grandstand Sections. The Carosel is WAY out between the Paddock and Disney Vacation Club Way Road. The Grandstand is to the left and down from the main pool area on that map.

DITTO... We stayed here in July '07 (bc it's our home resort) and we wouldn't stay in any other building other than the springs... :)

We stayed in the Congress Park buildings room2512-14. Ground floor 2bdrm suite, had a great view of DD and was a short 5-10 minute walk. A little quieter than the paddock, and only a 5 min. walk to main pool and spa.:)

I do not know whether you are traveling with children or not. If you are then I have to agree the Springs Building referenced above is great. However, if there are no children in your traveling party and you don't mind walking back and forth to the food court/main pool area, about a 10 minute walk each way, or hopping on a bus to the food court/main pool area, I would recommend The Paddock, Building 15. Make sure you request a view of Downtown Disney. There is a quiet pool there which is great, you overlook DD and the waterway and it is a much shorter walk to DD. Also, when we stayed they had fireworks at DD that we could see from our room. I don't know if they still have them.

as mentioned, the map doesn't show the grandstands which is, in my opinion, the best location... it is the first bus stop, has a great local pool (with a nifty splash playground type thing) and is nearly as close as the springs to the carriage house and artist pallet in terms of walking... here's a link to a map that is a little more current http://www.wdwinfo.com/resortmaps/saratoga.jpg
by 8500-8800, there is a little trail that walks right up to the carriage house

keep in mind for your requests, they are not guaranteed.... i've seen people request ground floor in the springs and got 7625... thought generally the front desk does try a bit harder than that to met those requests...

but hey, your at WDW, how much time will you be spending in the room and how much time will you be out enjoying everything else?
