SSE has to be my favorite of all the rides in EPCOT. Yes the ride did change and the ending that we were all use to seeing is gone, but when I look at the over all change it's not so bad. But to get to the heart of this post, I truly love the new interactive games that were placed in the area after you get off the transporter Vehichles. I love trying to assemle Doctor Bones with The DWF as fast as we can. I also love playing the memory and motor skills speed game. The driving is really fun. The DWF and I truly love getting off the ride to view our picture of the future and sending it to our home computor and then playing all the games that I just mentioned. Does any one else here like the off ride inter-action attactions as well????

I would agree. The post show of SSE is quite a bit of fun. My favorite is Power City. I am waiting for the day when I snap an ankle on my wife or one of my kids trying to get that last virtual power puck in place.

I think Project Tomorrow is the best post-show SSE's ever head. I just hate it that all the activities are occupied all the time; so far the only one I've gotten do to is the one where you're driving the car. It was pretty cool, though, reminded me of Knight Rider.

As much as I miss the city and the screen show music wants me to scream it isn't half bad. Really they did an amazing job on the landscapes, Project tomorrow came out pretty good and I do like the theme music. I just wish the triangles would be brighter so my camera could see them. I dont think they ever meant to eliminate the Peppers Ghost projections, the city and the Spaceship Earth model. I really think something went wrong where they couldn't power them up. If you notice when the screen show loads a city appears on the screen and when the video starts it starts exactly after where you would see the city. As you're going down there was nothing but fiber optics so the video would make the trip shorter, but when time its time to see the Spaceship Earth model the video ends and you see Spaceship Earth on the screen. And also if you notice the stars on the walls are everywhere except for where the old scenery was. I think I have seen some of the old fiber optics on the celling, the mesh is still there.

I have to agree with this. There is alot of fun to be had there.

I love SSE, but never saw the previous exhibit/ride pre-2008 refurb, anyone care to fill me in?

Heres a video, the end is a screen on the omnimover, all the surrounding effects have been changed, could be better or for worse. All the scenery has been removed. Now all there is is glowing triangles overhead and your surrounded by stars. Record your face when you see this for the first time, send it to disney so they can see how much this ride upsets people LOL.

My kids have always enjoyed Power City. And I've always enjoyed the sanctity of my lower extremities to stay out of their way.....:D

Despite all the controversy the new SSE has had, I think the refurb might have been worth it just for the post-show alone. I remember years of leaving the ride and walking through a maze of walls, or a dark room Disney apparently didn't know what to do with, and always feeling sad when I saw that. To leave the ride and see the giant globe in a room buzzing with activity and excitement (and sometimes, my own face staring back at me) always brings a smile to my face. For all its drawbacks, the new descent is the perfect set-up for the post-show and really tightens the whole attraction experience.
