Spy Kids 3D question

Hey, I was planning on purchasing Spy Kids 3D: Game Over on Tuesday and I have a question

I heard that the 3D glasses have the "old fashioned" red and blue lense colors instead of clear. Well, when you put the glasses on, is the whole screen red and blue, or is it just like watching the movie without them(Meaning clear, regular colors).

Sorry if that sounds confusing:hammer:

The colors will appear normal. (I could go into detail about how the colored lenses selectively filter out light so that the film appears to be 3-D, but as my wife frequently tells me, nobody really cares.)

What the glasses won't do is provide any kind of coherent story for this so-called "movie." But to each his own.

The colors will actually not appear normal. 3D which uses the old red/blue glasses, rather than the more sophisticated polarized lenses (like Disney) will cause the color to appear extremely washed out. The reason is that certain colors will no longer be able to be transmitted through the lens. Gel, as plastic colored sheets are called in theatre, has various tranmissions ratings. Different colors block other colors in the spectrum.

As a result, the movie almost appeared to be in black and white (not that bad, but close).

And yes, have fun trying to find a coherent story in Spy Kids 3d. It was insultingly atrocious.
